What was your favorite part/event of the most recent convention or gathering that you went to?

As I said in the blog on Friday, Byron and I spent the weekend in Winchester, VA, at 1D4 Con, a local gaming con. It was a lot of fun. I don’t think it was the smallest convention I’ve ever been to, but I think it was probably in second place. Not sure of the exact numbers but I’m sure it was less than 300 people there. However, I have never been to a calmer, more mature convention in my life. I guess I’m used to the noise and bustle of big cons, but everyone just seemed so laid back at 1D4, and I really appreciated it. No people running around screaming, or defacing the hotel property, or anything crazy like that. Everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun, and the convention was well run. We only didn’t enjoy one thing we played, and that was because of the system, not the con or the GM.

But my favorite thing to play, and the only thing that we went back for more of, was the Artemis Bridge Simulator. We played it Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon and it was amazing. The possibilities for it are endless, if you ask me, and I’d love to get it to play more often. If anyone out there gets the chance to go play it some time, do so. It was a lot of fun! And it’s a really neat social game, because everyone needs information from the other stations to do their jobs effectively, so you all have to talk to one another and no one gets really left out of the action. It was soooo much fun, can’t wait to play it again!

Today’s page made in Manga Studio 5 EX. I went back through a lot of the comic archives to get the “photos” that the Director has in that file and the first few chapters made me want to cry. If I didn’t need sleep, I would redraw them. *sob*
